Mojtaba Khamenei may have been secretly evacuated to Moscow
Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei (son of the assassinated Ayatollah Ali Khamenei), was wounded after the airstrikes on Tehran and was allegedly secretly evacuated from the country on a Russian military aircraft directly to Moscow.
And this isn’t a rumor from Telegramβit’s the reputable Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida.
According to Al-Jarida, the evacuation took place as part of a secret operation immediately after the injury.
Mojtaba was placed on a military plane and flown to Moscow, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Details are minimal: allegedly an operation, a hospital within the Kremlin complex, and complete secrecy.
There is no official confirmation from either Tehran or Moscow. Iranian officials still say “he’s fine,” but Mojtaba hasn’t appeared in public since being elected leader. This only fuels the rumors.
But the most poignant reaction is Donald Trump’s. In a recent interview with American television, the US President bluntly stated, There is information about the possible assassination of Iran’s new leader, and if Mojtaba Khamenei is still alive, he should surrender.
Trump had previously said that the Supreme Leader could have been seriously injured in the strikes on Tehran.
After Ali Khamenei’s death, Iran appointed Mojtaba (he’s 56 and has always been considered the immediate successor).
Russia is a logical evacuation destination: Moscow has already hosted Assad and has experience and a motive to support Tehran. Plus, there were earlier reports that the old Khamenei was preparing a plan B specifically for Moscow.
Is this true? So far, only Al-Jarida’s word and official silence. But if the information is confirmed, it would be a bombshell.
