California, Florida, and Texas lead UFO reports in the US

I was bored scrolling yesterday and ran into this Enigma Labs UFO report. They collect all these sightings from their UAP Central app — anyone can upload a photo or video of whatever looks strange up there.

Newsweek covered it on March 5, 2026, and they pulled from over 294,000 reports between 2014 and 2023. That’s a ton. Way more than I figured.

California’s got the highest number, around 30,000. Makes sense — clear skies, lots of people, military bases all over. Florida’s next at 16,000 — Florida, come on, that state is already weird enough.

Texas has 14,000, and New York surprised me with 11,600, even with all the lights and buildings blocking the view.

Enigma says most of it is normal — planes, drones, Starlink satellites, rocket launches. Especially around big airports, space centers like Cape Canaveral, or bases like Edwards AFB.

Good weather + lots of people looking up = numbers go up quick.
Last summer I saw something odd over my town. For a second I thought “damn, is this it?”

Nope — drone. Happens more often than you’d think. Reading all this still gets you looking up though. With that many reports, part of you wonders if maybe a couple aren’t so easy to explain. Or maybe not. Either way, it’s kinda fun to think about.

I previously wrote about information about a mysterious triangle in the Nevada desert. It was discovered using Google Maps. Is it a lost pyramid or a forgotten alien airfield?
